For Schwarzenegger, working out with like-minded people trying to achieve their goals still motivates him to work harder. However, besides being a social person, Gold’s Gym is a special place for the former champion.

The significance of Gold’s Gym

The Mecca of bodybuilding holds a special place in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s heart. When Schwarzenegger joined the legendary gym in 1968, Arnie understood he needed to make many improvements. In his Netflix docuseries, the Austrian Oak said Joe Gold called him?“balloon belly” when he walked into the gym for the first time.

The legendary gym is also where Arnie met icons like Frank Zane, Ed Corney, Ken Waller, and other bodybuilders.
