Joseph Baena, the son of the legendary seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger, is a stickler for the fitness industry. Baena often drops fitness updates on his Instagram, and has even taken to trying out different training methods as well. The Austrian Oak’s son has been following functional training for a while and recently showcased his immense gains after switching from the traditional approach.

A few hours earlier, Baena posted on his Instagram, a series of pictures of his insane posing routine, making his fans reminisce about the Terminator’s prime era. But what poses did the 26-year-old perform?

Baena gives his pictures the retro treatment

In the pictures, Baena displayed his aesthetic physique and emulated a few poses that the Austrian Oak did in the past. He started by doing a three-quarter front bicep pose and showcasing his symmetrical biceps. Baena’s small waist complemented his upper body. On the other hand, Arnie is famous for performing this pose and showcasing his mountain-like biceps. 

The next pose the fitness enthusiast hit was the legendary pose the Terminator is known for, the archer pose. This pose displayed Baena’s well-built back, and the detailing matched the standards set by Arnie. The last pose he did was the rear lat and bicep pose, displaying all the hard work he has put in to sculpt his aesthetic physique.

Baena decided to take each picture in black and white and this gave the pictures an 80s-era vibe. With each passing pose, Baena showcased his resemblance with Schwarzenegger, making fans wonder if they were looking at Arnie or his son.

Fans go gaga over Baena’s physique

An admirer of Baena commented, encouraging him for more crazy adventures ahead. “If not you then who?” they wrote. A bodybuilding enthusiast was baffled by the similarities between the father and the son and commented, “I thought it was your dad for a moment.” One fan commented about Baena continuing his father’s legacy and wrote, “Making ur dad proud.“

Another fan wrote how Arnie’s son was making good use of the genetics he inherited and wrote, “Happy to see you are not wasting the genes you got.” Baena’s post caught a fan off-guard, and he commented, “Wasn’t ready for something this epic today.” While one fan thought the guy in the picture posing was Arnold and commented, “Arnold, is that you?“
