Athletes and expensive cars are an almost inseparable combo. IFBB Hall of Fame inductee Shawn Ray, who finished in the top five at the Mr. Olympia for 12 consecutive years, is no different. On Christmas Eve, the 58-year-old bodybuilding legend made a special request to Santa in his Instagram post. However, it was nothing more than a fun way to share his dream car with fans.

The IFBB Hall of Famer might’ve fulfilled his wish of owning a luxury car this holiday season. In keeping with the holiday spirit, the bodybuilder asked Santa Clause to get him a Bentley. The former Arnold Classic champion posted a picture of the car with a red ribbon bow tied on the hood and posted it on Instagram.

The 58-year-old uploaded an image of a brand new white Bentley. However, the bodybuilding legend didn’t upload a full image of the car. The picture Ray uploaded revealed the distinctive right pair of headlights of his Bentley Continental GTC. “Santa, I’ve been a good boy. Make it happen,” wished ‘Sugar’ Shawn Ray.

The C in the GTC stands for cabriolet, a term for saying the car is a convertible. The car had its roof down. Rays’s followers also got a sneak peek at the interiors. Despite the lighting not being the best, the interiors seemed beige, with the headrests embossed with the Bentley logo.

While the iconic grill or the front side of the car didn’t appear in the image it seems Shaw Ray captured a 2018 edition of the Continental GTC on his camera. While the 90s bodybuilding legend didn’t disclose if he became his own Snata, many of his contemporaries, like Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler, own luxury cars. Almost everyone dreams of owning luxury or sports cars. Athletes and celebrities are especially fond of them. In fact, Ronnie Coleman won the Arnold Classic for a car.

Eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman dominated the Mr. Olympia contest during his reign. However, like most Mr. Olympia winners, King Coleman didn’t compete in anything other than Joe Weider’s Mr. Olympia. However, in 2001, Coleman competed in the Arnold Classic, becoming the first bodybuilder to win the Classic and the Olympia in the same year.

Decades later, Coleman explained that one of his motivations to compete in the 2001 Arnold Classic was to win a yellow Hummer. Hence, Coleman literally created bodybuilding history because he wanted to add a hummer to his car collection. Hence, one can’t help but wonder if Shawn Ray may end up bringing the Bentley home.
