One thing that has always haunted the minds of bodybuilders is bulking up. More often than not, bodybuilders try to add as much protein and massive calorie count as possible to get a bigger base to work on and transform into their desired physique. However, the God of Aesthetics, Frank Zane, has now made sure to warn people what they should do while trying to gain weight.

Frank Zane might be 81 years old, yet the former bodybuilder is not ready to completely step away from the fitness world. Instead, he continues to share many fitness tips and guidance through his social media. This time, The God of Aesthetic who had once defeated mighty Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed his opinion about quick weight gains.

Frank Zane asks people to take more photos of themselves

In his latest Instagram post, Frank Zane shared one of the most popular pictures of him from his peak days. And the photo had the following phrase, Transform your appearance. Zane decided to talk about how many people connect their overall aesthetics with the amount of weight gained, and they want to attain the latter as fast as possible. Hence, Frank Zane wrote, If you are concerned about how you look, then don’t become obsessed with gaining weight quickly.”

Instead, Zane focused on the fact that one needs to spend ample time to develop their muscles. He advised people to always keep an eye on their physique and then work upon it. He thus wrote in the caption of his post, “Quality muscle takes time to develop and can’t be fairly judged by what a scale reads. It’s all about how you look and to learn this and improve you need to take photos.”

Earlier, Zane touched upon the bodybuilding industry preferring big guys, while also explaining the intentions behind his focus on aesthetics.

Frank Zane claims he never looked good above 190 lbs

In one of his interviews, Frank Zane revealed how he used to train heavily in the beginning and then gradually increased the weights he usually used to do while training. When asked about his goals, Zane revealed how Joe Weider had always wanted big guys on stage but he had different goals himself, “But Weider was always, he was what you call a size freak and he was really attracted to, the bigger, the better. That wasn’t my goal.”

The bodybuilder also revealed how he had tested and understood that if he ever went above 190 lbs, he would never look good. “So that’s what I focused on,” he explained his obsession with sculpting an aesthetic physique.
