Don’t bleed yourself out: Martinez

Talking to bodybuilders who were certain about donating blood, Martinez advised, “A lot of you guys out there that have been juicing for years you should do it you know, donate, but just don’t bleed out yourself in the bathroom or anything like that.”

According to Columbia University Irving Medical Center, donating blood can have health benefits. It can lower high hemoglobin levels, which reduces the risk of blood clots, heart attacks, and strokes, especially in men. People with a condition called hereditary hemochromatosis, where they make too much blood, can donate their blood to help others.
