The Mr. Olympia 2023 is underway and all the contenders from different divisions gathered for a press conference yesterday at the Orlando, Florida. During this conference, many questions were asked to these top qualifiers, from the reigning champions to the runner-ups. While everything was going smoothly, in the fitness division, things got a bit heated during the conference when a two-time Arnold Classics Champion made a harsh statement on fellow competitor Taylor Learmont.

However, Taylor and Ariel Khadr are participants in the fitness division. They both have been very active since childhood, with a dream to bring fitness into the mainstream. Nonetheless, even after winning several titles, these athletes were eager to win the most valuable Olympia title this year.

Taylor’s response to Ariel’s affront statement

Bob Cicherillo hosted the Olympia conference and asked some interesting questions. However, unlike last year, there were fewer trash talks, but a few moments were still quite unbelievable. The host went up to the stage and said, Among the Olympians, a fantastic routine and well-deserved to win. Typically, this places you as the top contender for the Olympia title, except for the presence of multiple previous winners.

Then he asked Khadr, Do you think you can finally secure it?, as she began answering she mentioned her wins and how she managed to emerge as a winner at the Arnold Classic two times. And expressed how grateful and excited she is to take part in the Olympia for the seventh time. She went on explaining, “I have been doing this my life.”

After hearing Ariel’s confession about her, the Canadian athlete didn’t use words to respond. Instead, she did something amazing to show her skills and abilities. She did a handstand and splits and showed how flexible she could be.  Learmont won her Pro card this year.

The battle for the title in the fitness division

The 2023 Legion Sports Fest Pro took place in Reno, Nevada, in the second week of October 2023. It featured eight bodybuilding contests, and one of them was the fitness division. In the Fitness Category, Taylor Learmont won the contest and earned her Pro Card. After winning this event, she received an invitation to participate in the most anticipated show of all time.

Moreover, the competition in this division is indeed tough because the reigning champion Missy Truscott is determined to defend her title, and new talents like Taylor, who recently won a show are filled with positive energy and confidence.
