The current world is facing a serious issue in the form of obesity. As technology has taken over the daily routine of the masses, the sedentary lifestyle has kicked in, making people become overweight. But social media is a testimony that many transform their lives by shedding massive amounts of weight with consistency and determination. 

Schwarzenegger is always fascinated with such stories and in March, appreciated a fitness enthusiast for losing 119 pounds in 13 months. Dave Danna is on his journey to lose weight to “save his life.” The gym-goer has once shared a post of him bench-pressing weights. He captioned the video, “This is my 2nd ever bench & I’m not sure I’m doing it right at all but I’ll learn!” while noting that training at the gym can be intimidating to fat people like him.

The post received appreciation from the fitness superstar, Arnie, who wrote, “Your reps look fantastic, and I’m proud of you.” Schwarzenegger also advised, “Try dropping the weight and making yourself feel that stretch and flex with slow reps.” To influence his fitness village to never give up, Schwarzenegger shared a near-fatal incident he underwent at 71.

The Austrian Oak’s scary heart surgery

Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for lifting heavy weights at the gym during his prime. He still pursues his fitness routine even at 76. But the Austrian Oak has to undergo serious heart surgeries over the years. In his recent newsletter edition, Schwarzenegger revealed how he overcame near-fatal open heart surgery in 2018.

The surgery brought him back to the square in terms of fitness, and The Terminator icon has a movie on the cards. So, a determined 71-year-old learned from the very beginning of training principles to prove his grit to overcome the obstacles. “I knew I wasn’t doing well, I looked like an idiot,” he confessed, but battled to win.
