Frank Zane talks about lifting heavy

The official YouTube page of the John Arc Show, hosted by John Arc himself, shared snippets from an interview of Frank Zane in the show. In the video, Frank Zane was referred to as the Champion Bodybuilder and he was asked several questions about his career and how he got to become the God of Aesthetics.

Well, as the video gradually progressed, John Arc asked Frank Zane about his training methods. He stated how Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno are known for lifting heavy weights, but Frank Zane is known for his unique method of going higher on reps and lower on weights. To this, Frank Zane stated that he has trained with Schwarzenegger, and the statement isn’t entirely true.

Frank Zane replied, “I won’t say that’s entirely correct. I trained heavily. Actually, I worked out and weighed every set, so I did use heavier weights and I trained with Arnold and pretty much used the same weights he did.” While he might be defending himself in the video, Frank Zane has often advocated building muscles with lesser weights.

A few months ago, the legendary bodybuilder Frank Zane, took to his official Instagram account @therealfrankzane and shared a photo of himself with a rather elaborate caption. He unveiled the simple process of growing muscles without making the body go through horrific risks of injuries.

Zane wrote, “The truth I’ve discovered is that you don’t have to lift enormous weights to grow muscle.”  The 3x Mr.Olympia also suggested incredible methods of getting pumps post-workout. He added, “By using stricter form, slower negatives, and stretching between sets you can get an incredible pump in all your workouts. Numbers are an abstraction, especially to muscles.
