The Men?s Classic Physique has been ruled by Chris Bumstead for 4 times and this time in the 2023?Mr Olympia, he again secured his throne and won the title for the 5th time. Despite going through an autoimmune disease, the injury just 10 days before the competition, and other turmoil, CBum showed his prowess to the judges. The?bodybuilding?pro never backs down from any challenge and this time as well, he proved himself.

Recently Jay Cutler, Milos Sarcev, and Matt sat down together for a new ‘Cutler Cast’ podcast where they discussed the 2023 Mr Olympia. They talked about the Men?s Open division and the conditioning of each athlete as well as the Classic Division. This is when they started discussing Chris Bumstead.

Jay Cutler was confident that Chris would win

The trio was watching the recap of the Men?s Open division and the poses of Hadi Choopan, Samson Dauda, and Derek Lunsford and discussing their conditioning. After speaking about the Men?s Open, they spoke about the Classic Physique. Matt was speaking about Derek Lunsford who won the Men?s Open and according to Matt, his height is the only thing holding him back.?

Then he brought in the Classic Physique where a man like Terrance Ruffin does not win because he is short compared to others. However, in the Open division, the height does not matter like it does in Classic. This is when Cutler brings in the Classic Physique where CBum won again.

He said, ?CBum just owns the stage. I mean how?s he ever gonna lose?? The Serbian bodybuilding coach agreed and said, ?I don?t think he can. I don?t think he was as conditioned as last year.? The 4 time Mr Olympia retorted, ?It didn?t matter though.?

Sarcev again agreed, ?Yeah, it didn?t matter. Structure is structure, size is size everything is there.? So even if Bumstead was not as conditioned as last year, his muscle striations, personality, and height take over the stage every time. Even Bumstead is aware of this but he remains humble. He remained humble even when asked about his plans.

Bumstead gives cryptic answers when asked about his future

The bodybuilding champion had an interview with Voice of Bodybuilding before the competition and Bob Chick asked him about his plans. He also asked whether Bumstead would ever go to the Open?s Division and the bodybuilding champ answered,???It?s such a tough question.??

However, he said that he was still young and gave a hint that he was going to continue his bodybuilding career for a longer time. CBum also had a different mindset for prep this time. He said,??You feel good. You are tired, but you?re like, ?Yeah I?m a bodybuilder.’?
