But despite putting people half his age to shame with his work ethic, the Ted actor would now like to make some drastic changes to his acting career. Yes, Wahlberg now wants to play a grandfather!

 On the set of his new TV+ Apple film, The Family Plan, he confessed how he thinks that other actors, who have more caliber might do justice to younger roles. Wahlberg, who had once believed he was being asked to play Tom Holland’s role in Uncharted, now wants to do roles that justify his age and leave the younger roles to actors with no many days under the sun as him.

He says,  “I’m a dad now — embracing my old age, a lot of guys my age in the business would probably say, ‘Well, that character has grown kids or kids in their late teens, I don’t want to play that role.’ I’m embracing that. look forward to playing a grandfather soon.”  The actor also confessed to having chosen the older role after reading the script to Family Man.

In an industry obsessed with looking young, Mark Wahlberg hasn’t let himself be embarrassed about aging. Wahlberg ditches aesthetics for longevity

Mark Wahlberg in one of his Instagram posts, while flexing his well-defined muscles and six-pack abs, left the entire fitness community dazzled. He shared that his aim was no longer to get better at aesthetics, rather, he aimed for longevity and agility. There was once a time when he was so dedicated that he would work all night and still hit the gym, to lift heavy weights.
