Choopan storming off the stage before the proceedings wrapped up only helped to amplify the issue. However, with the dust settled, the reigning Mr. Olympia has continued to impress fans with his off-season form.

Earlier, the soon-to-be-father posted multiple photos on Instagram, showing off his physique. Despite not competing in the upcoming Arnold Classic, the champion looked shredded in every image. While bodybuilders often lose their conditioning during the offseason, Lunsford’s abs might be convincing some who initially didn’t believe he deserved the Olympia title.

The first two-division champion is not taking his foot off the pedal

With Derek Lunsford’s 2023 Mr. Olympia victory, the former 212 Olympia winner became the first two-division champion. While the historic achievement didn’t convince many fans of his greatness, Lunsford has remained unphased and continued to improve. While he isn’t part of the 2024 Arnold Classic roster, the champion is not taking any off days.

Derek Lunsford posted pictures of a front lat spread, front-double biceps, most muscular, and the abdominals-and-thighs pose. The pictures showed that the bodybuilder has maintained remarkable conditioning, especially in the legs, as his quad muscle fibers looked feathered in the images. The two-division champion’s eight-pack abs looked equally shredded. His physique update drew a wide range of reactions from fans.

Many believe Derek Lunsford has a bright future as a champion

While fans had a lot to say, many seemed confident that Lunsford’s reign had just begun. “And people say you didn’t deserve the Olimpia…” said one fan, hitting out at the 2023 Mr. Olympia’s detractors. One fan felt confident that the 29-year-old would silence his doubters. “You’re gonna be Mr.O for so many years from now on,” proclaimed the fan.

Derek Lunsford astounded others with his offseason conditioning. “The Human Anatomy Chart presented by @dereklunsford,” wrote a fan while tagging the bodybuilder. One fan suggested how the bodybuilding champion could beat any challenger moving forward. “A little bit more muscle mass in the legs and more separation in the biceps, and you will be officially unbeatable,” suggested the fan. One fan felt inspired by the two-division champ’s incredible physique. “Calling out of work and going to the gym after seeing this,” said the fan.

While Derek Lunsford might’ve had a rocky start to his Mr. Olympia reign, the champion is determined to convince people he deserves the moniker of the first two-division Mr. Olympia champion.
