Regan Grimes recommends moving with the weights

In the snippet of his workout video, he begins with a clear message by saying, “Back training most common mistake has to be pulling too much with your arms and wanting to be too strict!” The Canadian bodybuilder demonstrated these movements in the short clip.

He further explained in the caption, “All back movements require a certain amount of flow and what I mean by that is you gotta move with the weights!” He stressed the importance of avoiding the tendency to rely solely upon arm strength, encouraging a more dynamic and smooth motion.

Moreover, the 30-year-old showcased a single, seamless movement. Despite its apparent ease, he emphasized the complexity behind it. Grimes further pointed out that several steps and mental cues were crucial for maximizing the workout. According to him, developing a killer back requires a deliberate and calculated approach. The tip here is to focus on the coordination between the mind and muscle during exercise. In addition to Grimes, the six-times Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates had also urged athletes against lifting heavy weights and focusing on one’s form.
