As reigning Classic Physique Olympia Chris Bumstead grows in popularity, his brand Bum Energy grows with him. After collaborating with Raw Nutrition for bodybuilding supplements, CBum embarked on a mission to establish a footprint in the competitive energy drink market. The 29-year-old’s latest collaboration indicates he’s on the right track.

Earlier, the bodybuilding icon, his brand page, and Nelk co-founder Kyle Foregard dropped a hilarious promo video for the energy drink. The promo started with Chris Bumstead inviting Forgeard for a training session. However, one-half of the Nelk boys lied about getting sleep and grabbed a Bum Energy drink to feel refreshed.

Unfortunately, leg day with Chris Bumstead turns out to be too much for Kyle Forgeard. The promo ends with CBum taking the podcaster out of the gym in a wheelchair. The hilarious promo comes a week after Bum Energy celebrated the release of its new Root Beer flavor.

Chris Bumstead is also working hard to expand his brand and make it available in more locations. In April, the brand announced that their four original flavors, Orange Sunrise, Cherry Frost, Citrus Burst, and Peach Mango, would be available in all GNC stores. CBum also announced that the company will do “monthly giveaways.”

On top of this, Bumstead is also preparing to defend his Classic Physique Olympia title and may have to take a hands-off approach in the coming months. The 29-year-old defending champion’s prep will get increasingly difficult as 10th October 2024 gets closer. This time, the five-time champion has a lot to prove.

Chris Bumstead has his work cut out

So far, the road to the 2024 Mr. Olympia has been unlike any other in CBum’s career. While the champion often jumps right back into training after a short rest period, this time, he took time off. After winning the fifth Classic Physique title, Chris Bumstead gave his body time to heal and focused on welcoming his child with Courtney King into the world. Some bodybuilding fans even speculated that CBum might retire.

Instead, the bodybuilding icon spent time getting rid of his emotional baggage. Although he prioritized recovery and mental health before training this year, he is not ready to retire. Chris Bumstead has started preparations to defend his title with a revitalized body and mind. Now as he looks to lift the title again, he will face a new challenge in Wesley Vissers.

Vissers bested CBum’s prime contenders, Ramon Dino and Urs Kalecinski, at the Arnold Classic. So Bumstead will have to fend off yet another challenger, who has set himself up to become the first Classic Physique bodybuilder to win the Arnold Classic and The Olympia in the same year. However, only time will tell if he can beat the Bum Energy founder on the Olympia stage.
