Mike O’Hearn and his training partner

In one of his latest videos, Mike O’Hearn was seen training with his gym partner, Aleksey Mokshyn. The four times Mr. Universe was struck astonished when he perceived Mokshyn doing his behind-the-neck pull-ups even though he is in his 40s. Mike O’Hearn was evidently impressed, as he said, “Contracting your lats and you’re firing it into a different position, I don’t care, but being in your 40 still being able to do a pull-up behind the neck at a good height and a great weight, that’s a rarity that they don’t see.”

However, when O’Hearn pointed it out, his partner started confessing about how he does not usually like certain exercises. However, he still does all of them instead of running away from them, and that is the secret of his excellence. He stated, “I noticed that whatever I hate the most doing most of the time is most effective, so instead of like avoiding these basic moves I make sure I do them all the time.”

Mike O’Hearn had also warned the fitness community that people with weak minds and a lack of determination to take risks for some exercises might end up hurting themselves.

O’Hearn: A risk-taker

Mike O’Hearn had recently talked about how he is a risk-taker, yet he does not get injured. The bodybuilder stated that having a weak mind and not-so-proper form can hurt a fitness enthusiast instead of improving their physique, and hence, they should always be mindful. He said, “We’re not all equal, and so you going in to do a squat, risk versus reward, relative to me going in doing a squat night and day, there is no risk for me. Squats are easy, easy, and formed correctly, where you may not get the same result and you may hurt yourself.”
