Former NPC judge and one of the great bodybuilding coaches, Guy Del Corso passed away this Thursday morning. The bodybuilding coach who also worked as a contest prep coach has the whole fitness world in mourning. Corso was reported to have had a heart attack earlier this month. His family has now declared his death on his social media.
Following his heart attack, Guy Del Corso also had trouble with his mobility and speech. Earlier on February 3rd, his family members had informed that the former coach was slightly paralyzed on the right side and his left side was going away slowly as well. They also pointed out that he had a hard time swallowing food. Now that he has passed away, the bodybuilding coach’s family prays for him.

Guy Del Corso’s family thanks his followers
Through his Instagram account, Guy Del Corso’s family reached out to the fitness world to announce his death. They wrote in the post, “We’re saddened to announce that our father Guy passed away peacefully at around 7 am. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed terribly.” They further talked about how it almost seems unreal to them that Guy Del Corso is not among them anymore.

The family also thanked all his followers and well-wishers who had sent him prayers as they felt extreme gratitude towards them. They said, “Please know he loved every one of you. He truly did! It’s amazing to know there are so many great people out there.”
After the community got to know about the upsetting truth they were showing respect and love for the coach as well as sharing their own perception of the man.
The fitness world sends prayers to Corso
One of the fans commented, “Rest in peace he was a pleasure to talk to backstage I’ll never forget him.” Another recalled, “He and I had a short convo while getting my height and weight in 2016, Team U, even spoke about God. Guess I was blessed that day to speak to him, I won Classic Physique overall.” Someone else also stated how he had been a great human being and thanked him. They said, “Rip Guy thank you for being who you are. Enjoy God’s Heavenly Kingdom.” Yet another fan said, “Going to miss him.” Somebody else said, “Rest in peace.”
As the bodybuilding and fitness community sent their prayers to Guy Del Corso, many people started recalling all the little encounters they had with Guy and how sweet of a person he had been throughout. While he passed away peacefully shattering everyone close to him, people still continue to pray for his soul.
