The actor received his film opportunity while working as a waiter. He happened to meet Rae Dawn Chong, who cast him in her directorial venture, Cursed Part 3. Hence began his Hollywood career. The Austrian Oak was born a couple of years after World War II ended in the war-stricken Austrian village of Thal. His parents couldn’t provide more, and Arnie lived in poverty. Narrating about his childhood circumstances, the 76-year-old once confessed he had to borrow meals, wore the clothes of his brother, and rarely traveled. 

But the depth of his destitution can be reflected when he desires a banana from his hospital roommate. “I had never had a banana before in my entire life, so I thought I would give it a shot and asked him if I could have his peel,” he once confessed. But Arnie changed his life with vision and positivity.
