One featured the movie poster, and in another, he wrote, “I still get people messaging me all the time about this movie, this was the start.” The movie was released on March 23, 2018, and it’s been 6 years since. But people still adore the film and his role as Charlie.

The 30-year-old began his career in modeling, he quickly transitioned to acting, making his film debut in 2012 with “Stuck in Love”. He showcased his acting chops in subsequent projects like “Grown Ups 2” and “Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse,” displaying a versatility that hinted at a promising future. However, while promoting the film back in 2018, the 30-year-old talked about his role as a leading man in a romantic film.

In an interview with Parade, Patrick discussed his immersive experiences preparing for roles. For “Long Road Home”, he lived on a military base, interacting with soldiers to embody his character. Transitioning to “Midnight Sun”, he trained with a USC Swim Team member to understand the mindset of a dedicated swimmer.

Despite the contrast in characters, both films explore deep emotional and physical journeys. “Midnight Sun” particularly emphasizes gratitude for life’s simple joys, like sunlight.  Furthermore, he revealed that since childhood, his father has instilled discipline and taught him a piece of useful advice to become successful.
