Joseph Baena, the youngest son of bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger posted about his trip to Leipzig, Germany, about a week ago. However, Baena only revealed snippets of details from his trip and collaboration with soccer club RB Leipzig. However, the soccer club posted Baena’s training session with their center-back Willi Orban.

The pictures showed Joseph Baena and Willi Orban training together. Shortly after landing at Leipzig, the 26-year-old had posted a story with the caption “training time.” It seems he may have talked about his training session with the RB Leipzig player. However, the duo trained in the sport Arnold Schwarzenegger excelled at.

Besides training in RB Leipzig gear, the 31-year-old Hungarian national team star handed Joseph his custom RB Leipzig jersey. The duo then switched places, repping out bench presses, the classic bodybuilding exercise. “The new CB ready to muscle some people off the ball,” the youngest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger commented.

The bodybuilding enthusiast collaborated with RB Leipzig for the Virtual Bundesliga International Series 2024. According to Joseph Baena, he got picked by Leipzig as a free agent. “It was a one-day contract,” Baena wrote in an Instagram post a week ago. However, he didn’t sign with the soccer club to play on the field.

The Virtual Bundesliga International Series is a virtual soccer tournament. The participants compete in EA FC24 and EA FC Olnine matches. While Arnie’s son didn’t reveal if he played in the tournament, he certainly enjoyed his time as a guest of the rising soccer club. Baena’s interest in soccer also continues to grow.

Growing interest in another sport Arnold Schwarzenegger played

Before Arnold Schwarzenegger became a seven-time Mr. Olympia, he used to play soccer. Gustav Schwarzenegger got his son involved in the beautiful game while he was in school. Schwarzenegger’s father also wanted him to choose soccer instead of bodybuilding and didn’t support Arnie’s love of weightlifting.

We don’t know if Joseph Baena derives his love for soccer from Arnold Schwarzenegger as he does for bodybuilding. However, his RB Leipzig collaboration is his second one in two months. The 26-year-old traveled to Brazil for the Arnold Classic South America in April. Baena visited the high-octane Paulistao final between Palmeiras and Santos live. Palmeiras even gave Baena a custom jersey, and his Palmeiras and RB Leipzig jerseys have the number 2 printed on them.

The 26-year-old bodybuilder cherished his chance to collaborate with RB Leipzig and train with Willi Orban. However, this might not be Baena’s last collab, as his interest in soccer has continued to grow.
