In the field of bodybuilding, individuals and aspirants find themselves surrounded by tough competition. And when it comes to dethroning rivals, Jay Cutler‘s name can’t go unnoticed. To date, he is revered for dethroning one of the most Mr. Olympia title winners. The 50-year-old is known for his massive win against Ronnie Coleman. Interestingly, Coleman wasn’t the only arch-nemesis of the 4x Mr. Olympia winner.

Jay Cutler, known for the best comeback in bodybuilding history, has won 4 Mr. Olympia titles, yet the 50-year-old’s list of rivals exceeds his won trophies. Even as a fifty-year-old, this fit bodybuilder has acquired several rivals in his career. Thus years after his retirement, he lists down a few of his competitions during his professional bodybuilding era.

Jay Cutler shared a challenging list of rivals

In one of his latest Instagram reels, Cutler posted a video where he talked about how outside of Ronnie Coleman, he had memorable rivals in his field. He hence quoted, “I have to give credit to Phil Heath. I have to give credit to Dexter Jackson, both those guys beat me.” Then Cutler pointed out, how Victor Martinez was a great challenger to him as well. He also mentioned Gustavo Badell and Günter Schlierkamp to have given him the most fascinating challenges.

In the end, he suggested Chris Cormier. Cutler stated how he cannot forget Cormier on the list because, Cutler claimed, “He was one of the best“. However, he still ended the video by calling Ronnie Coleman his fiercest competitor in his career.

Although Cutler’s achievement list shocks everyone despite the competitors being as terrifying as they were, the former bodybuilder had a fair share of turbulences in life. One is, coming out stronger from a tough childhood. For the “Comeback Kid”, having a clear mindset has been an utmost priority to get going.

In one of his interviews, Cutler confessed how he was forced to join his family’s construction business. Yet he also revealed that no matter what troubled him, he would go to the gym to feel better. He stated, “I felt the gym was my escape and I would train from 8 to 10 at night the gym would close at 10:00 it would allow me to really just when I got in those weights man it would just it just my mindset was just clear.” Cutler then discloses, he still feels the same way about the gym, and he explores how much he enjoys it.
