In an insane sequence during an NBA game between the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves, a Spurs player almost dunked on a mop boy. What did this mean for the Spurs?

Spurs started the game poorly and ended the first half down by 13 points to the Timberwolves. At the time of this dunk, they were down 18 points and got the difference back to 16. Notably, this was only near the end of the first quarter itself.

So clearly, since the Spurs were visibly desperate to score, it would have been a relief that the ball boy did not cost them more points and no one walked away hurt.
