Shaquille O’Neal has been a lifelong wrestling fan. He has made numerous appearances in several wrestling events, such as the WCW, WWE, and the AEW. Apart from basketball, Shaq has loved professional wrestling and has appeared in the televised events of four different wrestling promotions over the years.

It all started in 1994 when Shaq made several appearances in the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and even presented the title belt to the winner of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Since then, he has appeared in the WWE, Impact Wrestling, and the AEW.

Shaq’s most recent wrestling appearance came earlier this year when he teamed up with Jade Cargill against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet in the AEW Dynamite. In a recent episode of ‘Shaq Life’ on TNT, Shaq has revealed that he dreamed about this when Cody Rhodes challenged him.

Shaquille O’Neal reveals that he dreamed about fighting when challenged by Cody Rhodes

TNT has recently released the first episode of the 2nd season of ‘Shaq Life‘. In the recently released episode, TNT has covered his AEW match that he fought earlier this March. During the episode, Shaq revealed that it was his dream to fight in a professional wrestling match after Cody Rhodes challenged him.

“Been wrestling like I’ve been not a professional wrestler, but I’ve been wrestling ever since the times of Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant,” Shaq said.

“Me and my cousins, me and my boys, we used to do it all the time so. When Cody challenged me to that, I’ve been dreaming about this all my life. Cody, I’m ready for you,” he added.

Shaq and Jade Cargill emerged victorious against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. The tag team match opened the 3rd March edition of AEW Dynamite. However, Shaq was stretchered into an ambulance after the match. But Shaq managed to win his debut AEW match, thanks to Jade Cargill, who pinned Red Velvet with a slam.

The build-up to the tag team match started in November last year when Cargill made her debut. She said that Cody has never dealt with someone like Shaquille O’Neal. Several events led to the decision of the tag team match. However, Shaq had the last laugh as he won his AEW debut match.
