The summer has been anything but fair to Tommy Paul. After sustaining a ruptured tendon in his foot at the All England Club, he was forced to wear a boot and cut short his Wimbledon campaign, which unfortunately ended in a four-set second-round defeat to Sebastian Ofner. For someone who was enjoying a career-best run at Roland Garros, these setbacks have surely been tough. Yet amid these negative outcomes, he found light at the end of the tunnel away from the court when he got down on one knee to propose to his longtime partner, Paige Lorenze.
Now, as the two are set to marry, many would be keen to know how their wedding planning is going. Since that cat is finally out of the bag, here’s one wild suggestion for their wedding planning: how do the lovebirds feel about tying the knot in front of thousands at the Louis Armstrong Stadium? It’s only fitting, considering both crossed paths with each other at this very place. For context, this question was slid in during his post-game interview after securing a victory against Elmor Moller in the first round of the 2025 US Open.
But as remarkable as this idea sounds, Paul was quick enough to reject the suggestion. “Oh, I don’t think so,” began the 28-year-old. “But yeah, I mean, amazing after Wimbledon. It was such a special week after Wimbledon to do that. I think she’s already gone, but she was here at the match,” he added, before making a special request to ardent fans. “So, if you guys see her, tell her congratulations. And probably not on Armstrong, I don’t think”.

There you go, looks like the possibility of seeing Tommy and Paige exchange vows with each other at the Louis Armstrong Stadium. Then again, he had his own reasons to say so, considering the power couple must have planned something unique for their special day. Not to mention that’s the least he deserves, considering how tough time has been for him on the professional front.
One can say that it’s because of this personal moment that he was able to cap off this tough road. Having made their relationship public back in 2022, the couple finally announced their engagement on Instagram on Sunday, July 13, with Lorenzo writing “Forever” alongside some snapshots taken near the beachside. Well, consider it a job well done because this plan was on a verge of getting washed away!

That’s when he came up with an interesting idea. The 28-year-old decided to rent a small cottage for the night and enlisted Lorenze’s friends to help set the scene. The rest, as we all know, is history, as Paul proudly did what he had to do. “Hit her with the spiel and bent the knee. It was pretty special,” he said.
