“I don’t have a girlfriend, but I’m looking for one,” said Carlos Alcaraz last year talking to Spanish outlet ABC. For a long time, the former World No.1 and four-time Major winner has been linked with several WTA stars. For example, flying rumors have linked him with the likes of Emma Raducanu, Iga Swiatek, and Maria Gonzalez Gimenzez. Plus, he’s earned a lot of female fan following lately, due to his phenomenal on-court skills and personality. Yet, he’s still single and looking to get paired with someone. Fellow player Nick Kyrgios seems to be aware of this situation. And he just made it evident with a cheeky reaction on the Spaniard!
Kyrgios put up a story on his Instagram, dated January 29. It featured a clip of him giving brief reactions to different players while describing them, in an interaction with GetSetTennis. When asked to describe Carlos Alcaraz, he simply said, “He loves females. so females.”
Well, we can’t deny that, given his craze among female fans. Apart from impressing with his talent, he’s known for his frequent interactions with the crowd during matches. As a result, he’s attracted some sweet reactions too! Remember when one admirer confessed, “Me reading this when in my head we have been serious for at least 4 months.”

When Carlos Alcaraz envisioned his family with a hypothetical wife
Last year, Carlos Alcaraz was in New York and had an interaction with popular magician Daniel Fernandez. Talking to him, the former World No.1 did admit the name of his wife – but an imaginary one. In a viral clip featuring this conversation, he commented that he will play his final Major event in 2037. According to him, that Slam appearance might be at the Wimbledon. Later, he was told to imagine that he would be married by the year 2037. “Do you have kids, hopefully?” asked the magician. To this, Alcaraz replied, “Three”.
The next question was “But the most important, what’s your wife’s name?” Answering this one, the Spaniard revealed a name that made everyone burst into laughter. Although a bit hesitant, he said, “Umm, I’m not sure, I will say Maria.” Did he mean Maria Gonzalez Gimenzez? One can’t say anything since both the players haven’t actually confirmed their rumored connection.

However, Alcaraz did mention back in 2023, talking to Vogue, that he had a breakup. But he didn’t reveal any name, making it an unsolved mystery. “It’s complicated, never staying in one place. It’s hard to find the person who can share things with you if you’re always in different parts of the world,” he said.
