“She’s great. I think we’re both very happy and, and yeah, it’s been cool getting to know her and spend time with her,” said Ben Shelton on his relationship with women’s soccer star, Trinity Rodman. In March this year, Shelton and Rodman announced their relationship with Rodman by posting a series of TikTok videos. Later on, in an IG post, Rodman was also spotted planting a kiss on his cheek, and guess what? That was perhaps the moment when the fans finally got to see the new couple officially! Following that, they have been posting numerous updates on their lives on social media and are also spotted showing support towards each other on their journeys.
Talking about support, Rodman was spotted attending Shelton’s match in Madrid and even after his victory against Lorenzo Sonego in the first round of the 2025 French Open, she showcased her support by sharing a picture of his winning moment on social media with the caption, “I’m in awe of you 🤩❤️.” But the clay season is over, and now it’s time to switch to grass. Amid all these, Rodman was recently seen teasing her boyfriend through an IG story.
Talking about his campaign on grass, so far, although Ben Shelton managed to reach the SF of the Stuttgart Open, he was defeated by Alexander Zverev in the SF. Following that, he faced an exit in the R32 of the HSBC Championships at the hands of Arthur Rinderknech.

In that post, there was a picture where Shelton was spotted sitting beside his father on a bench, donning a sleeveless T-shirt. After seeing that picture, Rodman shared that post on her own IG stories with the caption, “NOTHING LIKE STEALING MY SHIRT AND RIPPING THE SLEEVES OFF 😂😂.”
Seeing her frequent appearances in his matches and closely following the game, one may wonder if Trinity Rodman has some real interest in the racket sport. Addressing those questions, Ben Shelton once revealed, “We both played (each other’s sports). I think we both (were) surprised how good the other one was at the sport, from what we thought before. I’m sure she thought that I couldn’t kick a soccer ball at all. And she was surprisingly very good at tennis.” But despite her keen interest in the sport, there is one thing that has surprised Rodman more than anything else! What’s that?

In a previous interview with Tennis Channel, Ben Shelton was asked what it was like to see his girlfriend attend some of the matches during the European clay court swing. Replying to that, the tennis star said, “It’s been pretty cool. It’s obviously a lot different atmosphere, you know. There are some when you’re on a team and all the people are kind of like your best friends. She has come to the tennis events and kind of been like ‘Oh like why did none of the girls talk to each other, or like why does it seem no one is really saying anything to each other, or kind of doing their own thing, or being within the team?’“

Responding to her queries, Shelton revealed that he told her about how different tennis is from other sports because here the people with whom they hang out are also their competitors. However, having said that, he also gave a special mention to his unique friendship with Frances Tiafoe and how they crack jokes, despite being rivals on the court.
Coming back to tennis, although Ben Shelton failed to reach the QF at the French Open this year after losing to the eventual champion, Carlos Alcaraz, in a tight four-setter, his incredible performances in the last few months have now earned him a spot inside the Top 10. Trinity Rodman’s reaction to Ben Shelton’s incredible milestone
If we take a look at Ben Shelton’s performance this season, he started the season with a bang by reaching the SF of the AO. But in that SF match, he had faced a defeat at the hands of the eventual champion, Jannik Sinner. Seeing these two exits from the previous two major tournaments, can we say that in order to win a Grand Slam, one must overcome the ‘Big Ben’? Jokes apart!
Following that impressive performance in Melbourne, Shelton reached the QF in Indian Wells and later on, also made it to the final at the BMW Open before securing an SF spot at the Boss Open. Overall, his win-loss record is 19-12 this season, and owing to these long runs, the 22-year-old has now secured a spot in the Top 10.

Reacting to this massive feat, he said, “If that’s true, it’s really cool, a big milestone in tennis.” With Ben Shelton’s entry into the Top 10, it is for the first time that we are now witnessing three American men in the Top 10 list since 2006. Speaking on this, tennis legend Andy Roddick spoke about how a “healthy jealousy” between Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, and Ben Shelton can do wonders for their performances in the upcoming months. Roddick also said, “This is a great thing. This is a big step! 30% of the Top 10, not bad.“
But what was Trinity Rodman’s reaction to this? Initially, Ben Shelton’s girlfriend had shared a post on her IG story, highlighting this massive achievement with a caption, “BIG BENNY 🤣🥰.” And then, later on, she came up with another post, with the caption, “Will never be over this 🥰. Proud of you.” With Shelton achieving one of his major goals, do you think he can now add a Grand Slam title to his bag in the upcoming days? Share your thoughts in the comment box.
