It’s been a rough couple of months for Sha’Carri Richardson. She got banned from Tokyo Olympics 2020 because of traces of marijuana. The World Anti-Doping Agency issued a ban on her as they classified it as a performance enhancement drug. After that, the Nike Prefontaine Classic competitions started where she made her comeback. Amidst much fanfare and hype, many fans predicted her to breeze through the 100-meters. However, it did not turn out to be the fairy-tale return many had hoped for. Now, she has got into another controversy with Allyson Felix.

Felix gave words of encouragement to the talented sprinter but Richardson did not perceive them as such.
Sha’Carri Richardson mocks Allyson Felix
The sprinter appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show to speak about her performances in Tokyo, her new brand of shoe line, and Sha’Carri Richardson. Stephen A. Smith interviewed Felix as she bestowed Richardson with some uplifting words.
“She?s obviously been through so much, and I hope that she?s supported, I hope that people rally around her.”
“Obviously she has a great personality, and she?s brought a lot of attention to the sport. And I think she?ll be in the sport for a very long time. I think just more than anything, for all athletes, there?s so much that goes into it. So just give her the support that she needs,” said Felix.
Those were kind words from the athletics legend. However, Richardson did not like what she saw and mocked Felix for her encouraging words.

Though the athlete’s off-court behavior may be drawing headlines and controversies, there is no doubt about her immense talent.
After all, she created the 6th best time in the history of the 100-meter competitions. But, she needs to get back to her best form to be competitive. The 21-year-old has time on her side to become one of the best athletes in the world.
