“He’s Being Misused” – AEW Superstar’s Girlfriend Expresses Frustration Over His Place in the Company

AEW superstar Brian Cage is making the headlines recently, and it’s not because of his actions. His wife Melissa Santos posted a video on Twitter saying AEW has been misusing her husband for the past couple of months. Brian Cage has won multiple championships throughout his career. He has been part of many promotions and has a great reputation.

Melissa Santos unhappy with her husband’s booking
For a few months, there has been a huge influx of exceptional talents into the AEW roster. Huge names such as CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, aka Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, Malakai Black and more have debuted for the AEW brand.
Fans are enormously excited with the new signings but are also concerned about these superstars overshadowing other members of the AEW locker room. Melissa Santos, the wife of Brian Cage, also had a similar say regarding her husband’s booking.

In a recent video posted on Twitter, Santos expressed her disappointment in AEW for not using the potential that Brian Cage possesses. Melissa stated- “You see, Brian Cage is a superstar. Those people who know him from indies, IMPACT, Lucha Underground, where I met him know that he’s a superstar. All you have to do is Google him and watch all his matches [at] PWG. He’s a superstar, and he’s being misused right now.”
Cage is still one of the top stars at AEW
Brian Cage has been one of the featured stars in AEW. The former FTW Champion has been working for AEW since 2020. Cage was part of Team Taz for a better part of his AEW career, but got kicked out of the team when he lost his FTW Championship to Ricky Starks.
Cage and Starks have continued their feud, and the duo could face again next week on Dynamite. In the last episode of Dynamite, CM Punk interestingly started a feud with Team Taz. With Punk set to battle Team Taz, the storyline involving Cage and Team Taz could end as soon as next week. Fans are waiting to watch how the company books the former IMPACT superstar after his feud with Starks ends.
