What is the total 2026 World Baseball Classic Payout? Do umpires and coaches get a share of it?

The 2026 World Baseball Classic payout remains unconfirmed, but it will be similar to the 2023 edition. In 2023, the total prize pool was $14.4 million. Reports show that winners now earn about $6.75 million, including bonuses for each round. Increase aligns with revenues doubling since 2023, including a 100 million Japanese rights deal.

Half of the payout goes directly to the team’s federation of the team. while the other half is split among the players, while the coaches are paid through the federation. For example, the 2023 champions, Japan, earned 3 million total, with 1.5 million distributed to players. With 30 players, that translates to about 50000 dollars per player.

Umpires do not receive any share from the World Baseball Classic prize pool. And they will be paid directly from the association.
